Need some ideas for a short family Trip between Christmas and New Years Eve

Postby sarah.g » Sat Dec 30, 2017 2:21 pm

2 families coming right after Christmas until the New Year’s Eve. Need ideas to get the most of it, things to do with kids that are from 2-12 years of age.

It's better to start your planning off with research, cause Chicago offers thousands of opportunities.

Try to convince everyone in your group to do their own research too (except for the kids), as interests vary between individuals. What's important to one may not be to another. There’s a possibility that the two families may wish to split up for some items, too.

Then, once you have gotten that initial research done, come back here with more specific questions. It would be better for you and us if you have a better idea about your trip.

The Loop, Millennium and Grant Park, River North, The Gold Coast etc would be some good places for the kids. Maybe a neighborhood like Wrigleyville, Chinatown or Southport Corridor as well. It would be better if you at least specify about where you gonna stay. The cold is a big issue here. It may not be much trouble at all or it could freeze your lungs if you're not used to it.
