North America

North America is made up of the three countries of Canada, USA and Mexico.

Lying immediately north of the USA lies Canada, a beautiful country with so much to offer.   The most popular attraction in Canada is The Niagara Falls which are in Ontario.  Even if you have seen these on TV or on pictures, nothing will prepare  you for the first time you see it with your own eyes.  The famous ‘Maid of the Mist’ now known as Hornblower Niagara will take you up close and personal to this amazing sight, you definitely don’t want to miss this if you are visiting Ontario.

Toronto is also a very popular destination with tourists and lies along the northern shore of Lake Ontario.  The most celebrated attention grabbing place to visit is the CN Tower which was the world’s tallest freestanding structure up until 2010.  There are many art galleries and museums if you want to take in the city’s culture and a trip to the many restaurants to enjoy a cold drink after a long day sightseeing.

The USA mainly attracts visitors to its many cities and it isn’t hard to understand why.  The city of New Orleans in Louisiana is a definite if you love jazz music and all things voodoo!  World class musicians are found busking on street corners and hole in the wall dives dish up gourmet Creole cuisine, in fact the food in New Orleans is legendary.  The French Quarter is an amazing place to see with its many balconies hanging onto the peeling facades of the buildings. You won’t find anywhere else like New Orleans.

One of the most popular states visited by tourists from all over the world is Florida, home to Mickey Mouse.  There is no place like it and it is a truly magical place to visit with all of the family.  With a number of theme parks and waterparks to choose from, you’ll wonder how you will fit it all in.  There are many accommodations to choose from hotels to villas where you will enjoy the privacy of having your own swimming pool.  The sheer number of novelty and unique places to eat will ensure you won’t be hungry from the moment you step off the plane.  It really needs to be seen to be believed and should be visited at least once in your lifetime.

If you want a city that doesn’t sleep, New York is THE place to be.  With its endless sightseeing opportunities, you will need a holiday to recover!  The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Tower One are some of the most visited attractions here.  However, the eerie stillness of Ground Zero will leave you lost for words.

The nightlife is varied and you will find many restaurants, the closer to Times Square you are, the more expensive it will be.  The View Restaurant with a revolving view of New York is amazing and the food is some of the best in the city.  If you venture into Greenwich Village, you will find more relaxed eateries and even some jazz bars where you can relax after a busy day sightseeing.

The USA is a truly special place to visit and you will leave wanting to return again and again.
